About Me
Hi PJ.
My name is Russell Albin or ラッセル アルビン in japanese. I am an aspiring vegan living in Nebraska. Not the easiest place to find food and others who share my desire for responsible, ethical, and personal eating habits. Hopefully I can blog (vent) about recipes, experiences, and life without going crazy.
I am also a software developer (aka phpCodeNinja). I own a small company with my brother and wife, Green Dot Software. We do custom software development such as websites, converting excel documents into “Cloud” programs and anything in between.
Lastly, I am a fire fighter for the City of Omaha. I have been on since Oct. 1999. As a candidate, I was assigned to was engine 23. After my first year, I was required to run all around Omaha. After about 18 months, I was lucky enough to request to return back to Engine 23. I have never left!
My beautiful wife, Cheri, puts up with my eating habits and every once in a while enjoys my cooking efforts. She is wonderful and I am thankful every day!
My spare time is spent learning Japanese. My youngest brother Aaron is an exceptional linguist, and is fluent it Spanish and Japanese. He is the reason I started to learn 日本語 (Japanese)。
